On Thursday, July 13th, PERFINOX had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation of professors and researchers from Tunisia. This visit was made possible through the collaborative efforts of PERFINOX and the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, as part of the Biotech Tunisia project.
The Biotech Tunisia project aims to promote the exchange of experience and knowledge between European research centers and the network of higher academic institutions in Tunisia, specifically in the field of biotechnology. Its primary objective is to enhance the quality standards of Tunisian institutions by aligning control and accreditation systems. By doing so, the project seeks to improve the mobility of postdoctoral researchers and make them more competitive on the global stage.
To facilitate this important endeavor, Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa took the initiative in organizing a workshop entitled “BioExcellence: Sharing Best Practices for Biotechnology Research Management.” This workshop provided an invaluable platform for fruitful discussions and the sharing of insights and experiences in the field of biotechnology research.
The workshop culminated in a visit to PERFINOX’s state-of-the-art facilities, where the delegation had the opportunity to witness firsthand our dedication to innovation and research. As a Research & Development center, PERFINOX recognizes the vital connection between universities and industry. We firmly believe in bridging the gap between the academic world and practical application.
At PERFINOX, we actively collaborate with various universities, including the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, to leverage their expertise and establish meaningful partnerships. Our PERFIPROCESS Technology Center serves as a hub for experimentation and development, enabling us to explore diverse configurations of innovative machinery, ranging from prototypes to industrial-scale solutions. This collaborative environment empowers us to generate groundbreaking ideas and devise customized production concepts.
We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to showcase our facilities and collaborate with the esteemed delegation from Tunisia. This visit not only strengthened the ties between PERFINOX and academic institutions but also underscored the significance of fostering collaboration between universities and industry for the advancement of biotechnology.
We eagerly anticipate future collaborations and knowledge exchanges in our shared pursuit of excellence in the field of biotechnology. Together, we can shape a brighter future and propel innovation to unprecedented heights.
